The Right Pressure Matters
Too little pressure leaves mildew behind. Too much damages wood fibers and raises the grain, making the fence look fuzzy. Here's the safe range for wood fences:

Our Cleaning Process
Apply Wood Cleaner or Mildewcide
Spray a diluted oxygen bleach or deck cleaner on the fence. Let it dwell 5–10 minutes to break down mildew and algae at the surface level.
Power Wash at Correct Pressure
Work with the grain, keeping the nozzle 12–18 inches from the surface. Use a 25° or 40° fan tip — never a 0° pinpoint nozzle on wood.
Apply Wood Brightener (Optional)
A deck brightener (oxalic acid) neutralizes tannin stains and restores the natural wood tone after cleaning. Especially helpful for gray, weathered boards.
Allow to Dry Completely
Wait 24–48 hours before applying any stain, sealer, or paint. Staining wet wood traps moisture and causes premature peeling.
