- Single swing or double swing — which should I get?
- A double swing splits the opening into two shorter, lighter leafs, which is easier on hinges and needs less room to sweep. A single leaf keeps one clean panel and one operator if you automate, but it loads the hinge post harder. Wide openings usually want a double.
- What hardware comes with the gate?
- Barrel hinges are included. Latches, drop rods, and operators are specced separately based on how the gate will be used — we'll walk through it at quote time.
- Which grade do I need for a residential driveway?
- Commercial grade handles most homes fine. Go industrial if the gate is part of a security plan or will see constant cycling.
- How is the gate sized to my driveway?
- These are made to order — we build from your opening measurement between posts, not the other way around. Measure post face to post face and note any slope across the drive.
- Do you install estate gates?
- In the Wilmington, NC area, yes — our own crews hang them. Outside our service area we ship the gate and hardware nationwide, and it installs like any heavy swing gate: stout posts, deep footings, patience with the alignment.
