- What's the difference between commercial and industrial grade?
- Commercial uses 3/4 in. pickets on 1-1/2 in. rails and is the workhorse for storefronts and common areas. Industrial steps up to 1 in. pickets on 1-5/8 in. rails for maximum-security jobs. If people will lean on it, commercial is usually enough; if people might try to defeat it, look at industrial.
- What is Doggie/Double Picket spacing?
- It tightens the picket spacing near the bottom of the panel so small dogs can't slip through. Full Double Picket runs the tighter spacing the full height, and Playground spacing is designed around child-safety settings. Standard spacing is the classic open look.
- Do the panels come with posts?
- No — posts, caps, and mounting brackets are separate line items. Commercial posts come in 96 and 108 in. lengths to suit the taller panel heights. Send us your layout and we'll count everything for you.
- Can I get a color other than black?
- Yes. Black is the standard finish, and other colors add 5% to the panel price.
- Is this fence good for privacy?
- No — it's an open picket design with clear sightlines and airflow, which is what most commercial settings want. If you need full privacy or wind blocking, a solid vinyl privacy fence is the better tool.
- Can I install these panels myself?
- A capable DIYer can — panels attach to posts with brackets, and the heavy work is digging and setting posts plumb in concrete. If the run is long, sloped, or has lots of corners, a pro crew will save you a weekend. We install throughout the Wilmington, NC area.
