Custom Swing Gates
A swing gate is the right answer for most openings under 20 feet with flat ground on one side. We build them two ways: a fully welded aluminum estate gate priced live from the catalog, or a shop-welded steel tube frame skinned to match whatever fence it sits in.
How it works
A single leaf hangs on two or three heavy hinges off one post and latches to the other. It swings in or out through an arc a little wider than the opening.

Questions we get about custom swing gates
- Single or double swing?
- Up to about 12′ a single leaf is simplest and cheapest to automate. Past that, two leaves halve the hinge load and the swing arc, which is why nearly every driveway gate over 12′ is a double. The quote builder suggests one from your opening.
- Can a wood or vinyl swing gate be wide without sagging?
- Yes — when it is built on a steel frame. Wood-on-wood and vinyl-only gates sag past 5′ because the infill is carrying itself. On a welded steel tube frame the frame carries the load and the wood or vinyl is just the skin, so a 12′ leaf stays square.
- Do you install custom gates near me?
