- Do I need to know the height?
- Not here. The finder works from the opening width and the site; the quote builder asks for the height next, and every gate is built to the inch.
- What if my opening is wider than any single gate?
- A double swing runs to 40′ and a top-track cantilever to 38′. Past that we split the opening or add a fixed panel — call the shop and we will lay it out with you.
- Why does it keep asking about room beside the opening?
- A cantilever slide gate is about one-and-a-half times the opening long; the extra length parks alongside the fence as a counterbalance. No straight run there, no slide gate.
- Is the recommendation a price?
- No. Welded aluminum gates are priced instantly online in the configurator. Fabricated steel-frame gates come back as a written estimate from the shop, usually within a business day.
