Common questions about the Vinyl Fence Rail
- How do I know which rail I need?
- Measure the rail's height and depth and note whether it is routed for pickets or boards, then send us a photo. Rail profiles vary by fence style, and confirming before you order beats returning after.
- Can I replace just one damaged rail?
- Usually, yes. If the posts and their routed openings are intact, a single rail swaps in without rebuilding the section. If the post routing is damaged too, plan on replacing the post as well.
- Do rails come with brackets?
- Brackets are available alongside the rails, and whether you need them depends on the application — routed posts usually do not need brackets, surface-mount situations do. Tell us what you are attaching to and we will sort it.
- Will a new rail match my older fence's color?
- The color runs through the vinyl, so it matches our line's colors exactly as made. Next to a fence that has weathered for years, a brand-new rail can read slightly brighter at first — that difference fades with exposure.
